Children’s Education

Sunday School - For all children 3 years old through 5th grade - Sundays @ 9 am

We gather for music, Bible stories, crafts and fun!

Each year our children present a Christmas program to spread the true meaning of Christmas.

 

First Communion

First communion Instruction is offered to all students in first grade or above. Classes take place during the early spring. Contact Pastor Carole for more information

 

Confirmation Classes take place Sunday mornings and Thursday Evenings.

Middle School/ Confirmation Instruction begins in grade 6. The program is designed in units so each individual can study the Old Testament, New Testament and Lutheran doctrine at their own pace. Contact Pastor Carole for more information.

Music

Music is a gift from God. We celebrate this gift with voice and instrument, in worship and fellowship, by young and old. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the music ministry of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

 

Adult Choir - Cindy Haase director

High school students and adults sing a wide variety of music in Sunday worship. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:15pm

 

Cherub Choir

Children grades k-5 are welcome to sing in the choir. The choir sings in worship once per month. Rehearsals are Tuesday afternoons

 

Junior Choir - meets Tuesday afternoons

Middle school children sing in this choir. The choir sings in worship once per month. Rehearsals are Tuesdays

Mission Ministries

Quilting Ministry -  Our Savior’s men and women create over 150 quilts each year for distribution worldwide through Lutheran World Relief. Quilters meet each Tuesday morning.

 

Yarnover Missions – Knitters and crocheters gather to make prayer shawls, hats, scarves, and other items for people in our community. The group gathers every other Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 and the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:30 am. They will even teach you to knit! For more information contact the church office.
